Furrr & Hazendonk

Furrr & Hazendonk was formed in 2009 by Raymond “Qbical” van Baal and Paul Hazendonk. Both already had years of experience in the electronic music scene both as producing artists as well as DJ’s, and (in the case of Raymond) as live performer as well. The idea behind Furrr & Hazendonk is as simple as it is effective: have fun! Furrr & Hazendonk music and DJ sets are not made for all of those whining and moaning purist cry babies out there. Furrr & Hazendonk like the funk, they like the groove and they don’t care if a record is the latest-one-of-a-kind-limited-edition-special-hyped-up-promo, or if it’s a 1995 release which still rocks.

Only months after the launch of Furrr & Hazendonk they’ve managed to sign their productions to infamous labels such as Diynamic Music (Solomun), Einmusika (Einmusik), Neurotraxx Deluxe (Starlight sublabel) and Little Mountain Recordings (Sander Kleinenberg), next to doing releases on their own Melomane label. On top of that one fo their remixes was chosen for the new Cocoon compilation ‘Party Animals 2010′. They also quickly became a high demanded remix duo for a variety of labels and artists.

Next to their studio work they’ve also teamed up in the DJ booth for Furrr & Hazendonk DJ sets, playing a blend of timeless house and techhouse. In the relatively short existance of the Furrr & Hazendonk project they’ve already played at infamous Dutch venues such as Melkweg, Sugar Factory and Air alongside Steve Lawler, The Hacker, Sander Kleinenberg, Solomun, John Digweed and many others. And in the summer of 2010 they’ve done a 3 south/east Europe tour kicking off their international bookings as well.
