Martijn van Dijk better known as Alessandro Diga was born on the 8th of April 1989. Encouraged by his brothers, he bought his first rickety turntables and started to take over the dancefloors. At this moment Alessandro Diga is an upcoming artist in the Dutch music scene. He has a great passion for music, a huge perseverance and is a bit pigheaded, but those character traits made him into the artist he is. With releases on Outside the Box, Manual, 90Watts, Proton, Syndikaat and many more Alessandro sets a solid foundation to build on. His tracks know a great variety, they range from crowd whipping tech(house) tracks to compelling melodic tracks. His tracks are supported by: Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Secret Cinema, Stephan Bodzin, Laurent Garnier, Adam Beyer and more! His style is best described as: From funky pumping techhouse to melodic progressive tech!

A lot of people familiar with the Manual Music label, are likely to have come across the very fine Cinematique label run by Robin ‘The Manual Driver’ de Lange. Since day one he has brought an original sound to his label, now and then working with artists who also work for Manual, which within no time resulted in a solid fanbase and an ever increasing following. We are very proud to welcome Cinematique on board as an official sister label of Manual Music!

To celebrate this fact and as a kick off Manual head honcho Paul Hazendonk decided to release an Cinematique compilation on Manual Music which is out now! This 10-track digital album ‘Manual loves Cinematique’ contains a selection of Cinematique tracks which were released over the past 2 years. It is especially meant to be an introduction for those who are not familiar yet with the Cinematique label. Both Robin and Paul are convinced that this improved cooperation will benefit both Manual Music and Cinematique. Both labels are sharing the same passion of melodic and electronic music without being clones from each other although some artists are member of both families. Cinematique is a welcome addition to the label roster of Manual Music and for Cinematique it’s a next step in taking the label to a higher level.

Idiot Idols are Igino Ottocento and Saverio Vetica. Although they are not working with each other already for ages, both their styles and influences easily melted into some hypnotic productions. As a result of that they have had a great year in 2011 with releases and remixes on labels like Parquet recordings, Wide Angle recordings, Rhapsodic records and System recordings.

And now it’s time to return on Cinematique. They have worked hard and with passion to deliver this fine and diverse EP. It starts off with the subtle and emotional Incanto before rocking on with the uplifting Meandri. More freaky are the psychedelic sounds in the adventurous Dissonanze Cerebrali. The EP concludes with 2 remixes. First up it’s Tundra, well known friend of the Manual Music and Cinematique family. He delivers a moody and exciting livetake of Incanto. After that it’s Niccolò Bianchi’s turn to rework the track which meant the start for Idiot Idols at Cinematique: Sisters and Brothers. Niccolò, who you might know from his excellent debut release on Shabu recordings, turns this track into a wonderful and dreamy piece of music.

Jeff was actually amongst the first artists to sign with Manual back in 2005, and has been featured on the 3rd and 5th releases, back in the day when vinyl was still selling decent amounts.. As you’ll hear he didn’t loose his ability of creating warm techhouse tracks of pure class, always aimed for the dancefloor without getting cheesy.

Gaudii is one of those relatively unknown names that deserves a chance to get noticed by a wider audience. After having worked for labels such as Proton Particles and Italo Business we are happy to welcome him on board on remix duties for this release.

Early support by Darin Epsilon, Kasey Taylor, Dibby Dougherty, Daniel Mehes, Paul Hazendonk, Microtrauma, Eelke Kleijn, Warren Fellow, Nuno Dos Santos, Hernan Cattaneo and many many others!
